Since 2003, FIT, the “Freie Internationale Tankstelle” in Prenzlauer Berg, has served as a “Filling Station for the Creative Spirit”, i.e. as a drink station, an art club, a venue, etc. FIT is supported by mo systeme. A modulbox is stationed in the small couryard of FIT as a permanent loan, and is used as a bar, a workshop, a meeting point or a stage, which was the case at the Indian summer tiki party.

The courtyard is only open for special events such as workshops, a monthly Makers’ Market, parties or smaller events such as this year’s surfer weekend: a datime surfboard workshop and surfer flea market, a nighttime tiki party with Hawaiian cocktails, delicacies, surf music, and hula. Oliver Klotz from mo systeme: “Our modulbox is practically made for this kind of multi-functionality”. The mobile, modular space can be easily set up by one person and turns into a roughly nine times larger space with both covered and open event space. The side walls can be opened and closed at any time to adjust to the situation.

At the FIT station, the mobulbox is a permanent visitor – even through the long and rough Berlin winter. This proves how weatherproof the modulbox really is: 100% suitable for outdoor use. The modulbox can also be used as an ensemble and hence come in handy for larger projects or adapt to individual requirements flexibly.
