“Discuss with me e.V.” in the “LEVEL UP” project does it in Berlin and offers space for discussion.
Berlin-Reinickendorf as one of the first Berlin districts supported the climate tour of the association “Discuss with me e.V.” of discussing the topic of climate protection with citizens under the motto “LEVEL UP – YOUR FUTURE. YOUR CITY”. The initiative across Berlin uses a modulbox as a multi-media information stand, where short quizzes on the topics of energy, nutrition, clothing and mobility can be answered on various touch-screen steles. The correct answers will surprise you. And maybe change your own perspectives and possibilities for climate protection projects and actions in the private environment. But you also learn, for example, that you can borrow a free cargo bike from the Flotte-Berlin fleet in the nearby Humboldt Library or the Fontane-Haus. Numerous political institutions in the city have joined the concern for public discussion, including the Berlin Senate for the Environment, Mobility, Consumer and Climate Protection“.
At more than 20 different locations in Berlin, the citizens and visitors of the city had and still have the opportunity to take part in the discourse and also to ewin attractive prizes. From July to September, “Level Up” stops in many districts of Berlin, including the Schönhauser Allee Arcaden in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. Due to the weather conditions, this campaign was moved inside the building on the campaign area in front of Edeka. The Schönhauser Arkaden count 7.3 million visitors a year, that is approx. 20,000 visitors per day, so an attraction to place important topics on environmental issues right there.
“Basically, we all want the same thing: a future for us and our children. But instead of talking to each other and working on it, we face each other unforgivingly. We want to help change that,” says Philipp Avramov, center manager of Schönhauser Allee Arkaden. Discuss with me but also goes to districts like Marzahn and Lichtenberg.
